'Tropical Forest Loss' Lollipop Chart

A lollipop chart illustrating percentage difference in annual tropical forest loss between 2022 and 2023.
See full sized chart.

I produced this lollipop chart for a Makeover Monday post where I redesigned a pair of donut charts from Global Forest Watch’s (GFW) annual Forest Pulse report.

GFW was emphasizing the huge declines in Brazil and Colombia’s annual tropical forest loss, and a percentage-change lollipop shows that much better than the original side-by-side donut charts.

I attempted to duplicate Global Forest Watch’s style, and used colours from their style guide. Since the original report is hosted on the World Resources Institute (WRI) website the text uses the Roboto Condensed typeface, which is close in appearance to WRI’s official Acumen Pro Condensed typeface.
